Physiotherapist

Education: MSc Physiotherapy, Pelvic Health Therapist, Pre/Post Natal Care

Shannon is a registered physiotherapist with additional training in Pelvic Health and Clinical Pilates.

Shannon completed her undergraduate degree in kinesiology with a minor in Psychology prior to pursuing her Masters Degree in Physiotherapy.

Throughout her schooling, Shannon also conducted spinal cord injury research through the University of British Columbia and Vancouver General Hospital.

Prior to pursuing her career in Physiotherapy, Shannon competed as a high-level gymnast for over 10 years. With her experience in elite sports, Shannon understands how the body and mind connect and influence each other throughout recovery.

Shannon has first-hand experience rehabilitating her own chronic injuries from her days as a gymnast through active movement and clinical pilates, and she loves to share and adapt this experience for her clients.

Shannon has a keen interest in Pelvic Health conditions, including pre/post-natal care, incontinence, pelvic pain/painful intercourse, and core re-training. Shannon takes a whole body approach to treatment, focusing on active movement combined with manual therapy techniques, in order to address the root cause of issues.
