A Place to Learn & Thrive | Full-Time PHYSIOTHERAPISTS NEEDED – Pelvic Health, Pilates and More
If you love to learn, want to provide the best of patient care, and are looking for a team environment with mentoring and support, then we should talk about you joining our team at Synergy Physio + Pilates, located on Vancouver’s North Shore.
We have several positions and opportunities available – with mentoring customized to your learning goals and areas of clinical interest. These include:
Healthy Pelvic Floor Program – the successes from our ConnectTherapy™ whole body approach to treating pelvic floor dysfunction has created a lot of demand, and we need more therapists so we can help more people. If you’re a pelvic health therapist who wants to learn more, we have a Residency training program that will teach you how to integrate your pelvic floor skills and experience into a framework that allows you to predict who needs internal treatment approaches vs who needs other regions of their body to be treated to change forces on the pelvic floor. Be more effective and efficient with patients with chronic pelvic health problems. We have an updated compensation structure for pelvic health therapists joining the Residency program, based on experience and training completed.
If you don’t have pelvic floor training, but want to work with this population, we have a new Pelvic Health ConnectTherapy Residency Program – contact us to learn more.
Clinical Pilates – ConnectPilates™ training – we have a large, state-of-the art Pilates and movement studio with Balanced Body equipment, flooded with natural light and a harbour-views, where we run group physio ConnectPilates classes (groups of 3), semi-privates and one-on-one sessions. Our whole physio team refers into these programs and need more physios to offer these services. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside our Pilates Instructor and physios trained in Clinical Pilates from both Australia and Canada. Whether you are a physio who has taken some ConnectTherapy courses and want to learn about using ConnectPilates – or – if you are a Physio with Pilates training and want to learn how to use your Pilates skills to design “Driver Specific” training programs, including how to train Thoracic Ring Drivers using Pilates, we will individualize our ConnectPilates Residency program to provide you the support and training to work with patient referrals from the team as well as your own caseload.
ConnectTherapy™ Residency Training program – at this time we are interviewing two (2) Residency positions, which provides weekly structured mentoring from physiotherapist Dr. LJ Lee and senior members of the Synergy Team. You’ll receive individualized mentoring and training in the ConnectTherapy & Thoracic Ring Approach™ models while working at Synergy.
For all positions – our commitment is to facilitate our therapists’ goals to work with the types of patients they are passionate about helping. All physiotherapist skill levels and backgrounds are welcome to apply – key attributes of successful candidates include a positive attitude, a commitment to providing excellence in all aspects of patient care, and a desire to learn and grow while contributing to a team environment. We recommend one year of clinical experience in order to apply.
Renumeration is based on several criteria and open to negotiation.
The Synergy spaces have been designed to create an optimal work environment for our team. We have two state-of the art spaces – our clinic where all treatment rooms are private, have natural light and you have access to a large movement/ gym space where it is easy to work while maintaining social distancing. Our ConnectPilates studio is flooded with natural light and also houses private treatment rooms. Both spaces have a variety of traditional exercise and Pilates equipment, and therapists can access equipment throughout the spaces. We also provide Shockwave and Rehabilitative Ultrasound Imaging (training provided).
Our treatment model has always been one-on-one focused care, with appointment duration of 30, 45 and 60 minutes to allow time for integrated hands-on and movement training. We are also a teaching clinic, so you’ll interact with physios from around the world who come to work with LJ to advance their skills and expertise.
